The Slipway is booked for a fun day on the 8th August. This is the same weekend as the BOB in Christchurch so a few people are away - go Wellington !! :Punk:

Who is keen to race on the 8th? We need about 12 people to make it worth while.

There is a fun day at Kaitoke the following weekend (15th), this is the Kart clubs regular third Sunday of the month date. But I think they are running 2 hour endurance race(s), so it might be a good idea to give that one a miss. I will post when this is confirmed.
Next race date after that is round 5 at the Slipway on the 12th September.

I will show up to slipway and so will steve. Kyle sounds keen too. And might have a new bucket ready for my mate matt who rode just over a year ago. He should be a regular from now on too. Finally.

I am keeen for kaitoke but not if they are running endurance races. Thanks!

Nigel is actually being a little polite.....
If we don't get the numbers at Slipway it will end up costing US money (Which means a few less beers/sausages etc at the end of the year). So unless we can be CERTAIN of numbers there's not a lot of point, unless we pay more for entry.... which would suck.
I will if my bike isn't in a thousand tiny pieces.
Not keen on Kaitoke between endurance races.

Also the Kart club have 4 endurance races on their Sunday 15th club day :shit:

A 15 minute, 20 minute, 30 minute and 60 minute race. So I think I will give that a miss as well.

Ok so both have been cancelled. Good thing I just managed to dig a deeper hole of debt and buy a membership to the club and a key haha. Count me in if there is ever a group of buckets heading there for practice if you don't mind the extra traffic!

Have you talked to the club to see if the bikes can fit in around the program??? or are you calling it off?

Bugger, I like the interesting threads with the politics.
Actually, I like reading the planning and then the slagging off after the races and trying to figure out who's who (yeah right, like I remember anyone's name, excepting for 5 of you lot).

I do cringe everytime I see you needing to cancel or figure out if it's worthwhile to run the event, when Auckland and Hawkes Bay are pretty strong at the moment. (I do figure the SI is in the same position as us). I have heard that Auckland was in a similar situation not too long ago (sorry, no idea as to when), so hope that it's about to turn for you as well.

I am sure they would be happy for us to turn up, I was saying I was not keen on attending that type of day due to the waiting time that would be involved. We didn't go last year when they had their endurance day as well.

I asked the following:
A few of the bike people are keen to race, but I am not sure if we would fit into this (pretty sure we didn’t attend last year)
What do you think?
Would there be time for a bike endurance race in the afternoon as well?
Cheers

Here is the response:
Sure we can fit you in, will just confirm back to you after our committee meeting on Tuesday
How long would you want for your enduro race.

So, what do you think, how long would you want to have as an endurance race?
Will there be enough interest in this?

Yeah and if so, what is the racing schedule? If it's going to cost $45 for a 30 minute race then I will probably just save my money. Cheers!

I got a response tonight, so started a thread about the days racing here:

Here is their response, aren't they nice.
Hi Nigel,

All sorted and we can fit you in with a 30 Minute Enduro Race

Numbers are up to you last year we only had 4 karts in the senior enduro and the year before we had 15 so can run at any number

As time could be tight you may not be able to run A and B just all in together like we do

On another note we have our annual prize giving coming up on September 24. Do you as Bucket Bikes have some sort of prize giving and would you like to join us on the night. You are an important part of our club now and we would want to include you all in with us and you could predent your annual prizes if you do such a thing
