I have a 20 litre container of above oil which I wanted to use in my BMW. being only a single grade would it be ok? Temps down here range from 6-25 degrees Celsius.
I checked out Bob the oil guy but the info is above my head really. Use it or try to sell it?

Being a single grade HDEO it's most likely for a Detroit engine as they use single grade.SAE 40 has a range of 20 to 50 C - good for summer riding, but maybe not a good choice for winter.

I concur.
Its a mono grade API SJ mixed fleet motor oil, in the colder weather just let the bike warm before riding away.

Little bit more warm up time and it will be fine. Do BMws have dry or wet clutches?

I thought about it & don't think it's worth the risk of potentially rooting an expensive engine cos I'm too tight to spend $50 on proper oli.
Ok so this cheaparse has 17.75L of Fing expensive deisel oil going cheap (cost me $150 for $20l)
Anyone after it?

Did you have a reason to buy it in the first place? I'd take it,but I'm not coming to get it.I'm using 25/50,and it's pretty damn thick even at 3.00pm on a winters day - have a look at that 40 weight in the morning and see if you want your engine starting up on it.Mind you, didn't stop the Detroits using it.

Dont old Ducatis (the bevel motors) and HDs use mono 50? So this would be ok for one of those motors in a cold place (Wellington and further south)
