Yeah not the stock pipe. The H model was a 1982, I had one. Great bike in its time, not temperamental at all. Had some boogie.

Nope, the 'h' was '81, the 'j' was 82. But pretty cool bikes in their day.

I had a 1981 IT175. Good old bikes until some munter teenager has a crack at it...

Yes you are correct. It must of been my TT250 that I had the year before I had the IT that was the H. It was a long time and many bikes ago. When I think back to what I did on those bikes back then and compare them to what we are riding now its almost unbelievable.

Yup, 81 was the H - J was first 'Monocross' (much like modern single shock). I had an 81 TT250 as well danger.

Here's mine when nearly new. First decent bike and still my favourite. Hard to believe that was 30 bloody years ago. Gulp.

That pipe on the Trademe one is a laugh. Can't see how the wheel wouldn't hit pipe halfway through suspension travel!

Yeh, sort of....it still had the shock up under the seat and tank tho (my first bike was a YZ125j) but at least had an attempt at a proper rising rate linkage.
Bloody TT250's, I had a J, spent a small fortune on it and hardly rode it coz it was in the shop so much coz it wouldn't keep rings in it

Ah, didn't realize that about 'monocross' design.
I didn't get a very good run out of my TT250 either, Death_inc. Went through 3 cams in short order before being told I should bleed the oil pump every oil change. Never struck that before.

Funny eh, My brother had a XT250j (only have a different piston and cam, and a cable drive for the rpm counter, otherwise identical ), and that bloody thing was as reliable as a brick.
