well. Im considering getting involved in another biking activity to keep the buzz going when road riding and track days arent available, weather, etc.

So, im interested in trail riding / motocross but dont know a good starter bike. suggestions please? I dont wanna spend a fortune, just another biking related activity to get me outta the house and riding.

Or, pocket bikes.

any other ideas.?

Ill be doing track days this summer again on me sports bike, which i love, so dont wanna give that up, just want something else related to biking to keep me occupied.

Im quite interested in doing a rebuild or somthing from a crashed bike etc, but from what i have read, seems to be a very costly exercise and many people say you may as well go and buy the bike youre rebuilding, but in good condition!

You could pick up a decent early 90s XR250 for $2,000. It should be a good, reliable bike for a bit of off road fun.

when i was looking for my dirtbike bit over a year ago, you could get a pretty decent two smoker mx'r for 2.5k, shitloads of fun, though i don't seem to get out as much as I would like, also, you gotta have riding buddies and access to decent tracks.

why not get a cheap race bike and do the winter series. You can get some ok bikes for under 4k that will give you another avenue of your hobbie.

Get a dirt bike! you already have a track day bike..... & organized trail rides are about $30 or even free, there is also a lot more variety of hooning around to be done & doesn't break the bank
