'02 model, first registered in '03.
I've owned the bike since 11000 or so Kms, the previous owner barely rode it, but did a lot of work, making it a unique and great ride. Never dropped, never thrashed, left body work was replaced after an idiot I worked with backed into her with a van and damaged the panels. I got all new bits from the company's insurance. There is a small scratch in the rear tail hugger, and a couple of small stone chips in the fairing. You've got to look for them, she's a head-turning bike.
The handlebars have been replaced with motocross bars, giving a more comfortable position, without compromising handling. The fairing has been raised on brackets to match. The indicators have been replaced with "bug eye" lenses. The horn has been replaced with twin air-horns. Tinted screen, better mirrors, and a pack rack. I didn't keep the original parts, as I planned to [I]never[I] sell this bike! Happy wife, happy life...
The bike has been garaged her whole life and serviced religiously. The chain and sprockets were replaced at 30,000, and the tyres are great. Diablo up front, Diablo Strada on the back to last a little longer, but it's still a sticky tyre.
Excellent condition, only priced this low to facilitate a quick sale as I made the move to Oz, and it costs a fortune to ship a bike over. That and I don't need a vehicle over here, and don't have a garage available. The drips on the concrete aren't oil, I'd just washed her, and was trying to get photos before the inevitable Auckland rain.
She's a great ride, I used her every day to commute, as well as playing on the back roads at every opportunity. Hands down the best bike I've ever owned, but that's life.
Test rides are welcome, dreamers aren't. I can arrange rides (she's being kept in a warehouse in Mt Wellington at the mo), and questions are welcome.
