We are going to race around 5 rounds of the ASBK series next year to get more racing experience depending on clashes

We will be looking to take another 3 bikes with us to share costs.

We will organise shipping, getting your bike to the track and pit garages so basically you just find your way to each round and race.

If we could raise enough money between us we could look at taking RT if he was available. I havnt asked, Hi Robert lol

If your interested give let me know and ill finish getting prices organised. You dont have to be trying to make an international name for yourself or anything like that, you might just wanna go ride and race at some of the best tracks in the world.

The superstock classes are great and they cater down to D grade also the 125 class is huge for our next upcoming young racer

Don't believe yer. Even BP would shy away from cleaning up a sidecar oil spill.

Speaking of which

If you want a manager/co-ordinator for this programme mate, ie, bookings, co-ordinating freight etc, If I am in New Zealand next year, I would like to put my hand up for it.

I have built and managed a 250cc Grand Prix team a few moons ago, so understand the politics etc involved.

You know I have a huge passion for this game, and also for the Kiwi doing it

I would only ask for my airfares and accomodation.

Sorry, I am done doing anything in the racing scene for Free now, to many people rip yip you off, and walk away from promises and hand shake deals.

Hey Shaun as per my PM id be keen to take you up on that offer and thanks!

At this stage the balance has swung in that the person who has contacted me has raced in Australia several times and he will probably be the coordinator and ill be helping him at as much as possible.

You have to look at things professionally Shaun that way things get done properly so im not worried about people making a buck. Ill let ya know how it all develops

Hiya Chop, good onya son!

Hey, doubt it'll tie in with my roster but what rounds are you considering? I was gonna PM but thought others might be interested in actual dates too.

D grade ya reckon? Nothing lower....like G or sumthin'?

Nah, seriously, even if only most of the rounds line up with work I'd be keen. I've done Barbagallo (Wanneroo) in a former life but would fuggin' love to tick off a few more....and I already fly through Darwin and Sydney so ya never know.......

Pity they don't still race at Lakeside. I raced my RS250 there a few times...it was fucking awesome! To this day the best track I've ridden...if a bit dangerous.

It was fucking cool mate! Up through the carousel was fun...and the Southern Loop real good but tricky. The right hander coming out on to the front straight was my fav...until I went from 2nd into 1st thinking I was changing into 3rd! 1st and last time I got an upside down gearbox pattern wrong.

I watched Matt Mladin give Anthony Gobert a hiding there in Superbike. He was the only guy that went through the kink on the front straight full noise without backing off. Even Goberts team were watching in disbelief and shaking their heads lap after lap.

Made me realise that as fast as I thought I was...I was dreaming!

Here's what I'd be looking at doing Chop. Rent or hire a 20' container from Royal Wolf or similar, I can't remeber the prices but it's surprizingly cheap. Do a bit of work to convert it into a bike transporter, add benchs, lights and stuff. Then pack it all up with the tools. evrything and ship it. Once it arrives on the west island, you just use it as your pits and get it delivered from track to track by swing lift.

If ya spent some time on it, it could be fricken awesome.

Freight for a 20' would be about 2K each way I reckon.

Thats the beauty of ASBK at the moment, Viking Group (transport and logistics) are the principal sponsors. Even without your own container they'll transport your bike between rounds. Transport will never be cheaper than it is at the moment.
