[Mods, I'm not a bike shop so have posted here, but if you think I should register in the Shop Sales Forum, I'd be happy to do so.]
As a merchant I come across all manner of interesting products and of course receive endless emails from China wanting to supply me with everything imaginable, but I pick and choose what I want and I want to focus on high quality unique products that really work.
I've posted the odd offer here before and would like to make another offer of a product that is not generally available to the public. We talk about bullet-proof things but these are literally bullet-proof yet practical and stylish at the same time. I can think of many areas of application for these and can also supply full goggles if required.
Please see the attachment and let me know what you think.214810

My .22LR would shoot through that.

No doubt so would a .308 but they have been tested to a standard of course. And of course they could make specs that would stop your .22LR as well.

I'm not saying that these are weak, because I know how strong these glasses are but I don't think they're literally bullet proof.

If someone is shooting at you with a .22 i think you have bigger things to worry about than if your glasses are bullet proof or not.

Likewise, not my cuppa, if someone gonna shoot me in the eye it would most likely ricochet and penetrate my proboscis.....
I too wear prescription lenses, I wear super cool Adidas Evil Eye glasses with the lens mods for my prescription.......
I could be interested in a bullet proof jacket, or pants and a shotgun pouch for the front forks of my speed triple lol.........
Then I could be cool like "Machete" Booooooraaaaaah

That velocity is way less than a standard .22LR  which average (330-340m/s = 1188-1224km/h)

so you don't know much about rifles then huh. that's only 1080-1224ft/s which is the average type of .22LR
You probably think 1lb of feathers is lighter than 1lb of lead

I am terribly sorry, but you must be too young to have recognised the reference. The actual quote was from the movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. It comes in the middle of a pointless argument about whether King Arthur could have obtained coconuts from Africa, carried across the ocean by a swallow, as he claimed. In the movie this is a pedantic argument with very little point, relentlessly pursued to its bitter end by a raving pedant.
In using this quote I was making a subtle point about pedants, which I am afraid you have completely missed. Clearly EdBear, being older, understood.
And I would also like to point out that I have owned rifles since 1972, which is probably longer than you have been alive, if you missed the Monty Python reference.
I am also aware that the measurement of feet per second in relation to rifles is of less importance than the force exerted. Feet per second may be useful in determing the trajectory of the swallow, whether it has a flat trajectory or a parabolic, and therefore the aim point. However, the force exerted will determine the force on impact. A person has more chance of surviving a hit by a fast moving swallow than say, a slow moving elephant.
And if you have managed to read this far, I am mixing the two ideas to again make a point about pedants.
