That'll learn ya for gambling on the rules before they were confirmed mate.

Very good offer though, you may wanna hit Dion up as I'm unsure whether he plans on doing the Nationals or just the club and BEAR stuff.

Edit: Just thought it through and you obviously haven't bought them, they're just less expensive than stock. As you were. I'm a dick.

I'm working on it - so far I've sent two emails to Kingsland BMW to discuss buying one... no reply yet though...perhaps they are too busy fighting prospective buyers off the premises. ...

I'll keep trying .... until I give up.

Why would you want to well built swap lighter, flasher aftermarket wheels for standard ones?

Because you can't use them in the Superbike class at nationals.

Who sends an email to discuss buying a 27K bike? Ride in there one day with your trade, let them look at it, punch out a deal and ride your new Beema home. Simple.

Who sends an email to discuss buying a 27K bike?Well, me for starters. Only had to stop in to sign the paperwork, did the rest over email. I'd seen the bike in the window, read all the reviews, didn't seem much point going into the store... what would that have gained me?

They are not exactly easy to buy as they have been so popular there is a worldwide shortage

It's called common courtesy. For sure they'll get a lot of time-wasters but I mean, hell, even if only one in ten email replies results in selling a 27K bike it must be worth it?

What sort of bike do you ride? Ill have a search around some forums and see what problems I can find.....

You have also seen the result of racing motorcycles. How about we look at the NZ series? Suzukis had 2 engine failures this year, does that mean you should not buy a GSXR1000? No not at all, they are a great bike but as per everything with moving parts there is going to be problems somewhere. The aprilia rsv4 have had massive engine failures, Hondas rings dont seal etc etc etc

Here is an interesting article that puts things in perspective

The fastest superbikes duke it out in Nardo/Italy

An european moto-mag took the latest superbikes to the high speed track in Nardo/Italy and ran them against each other and found out a few interesting things what you usually don't get to read...
1) true top-speed
2)acceleration 0-250km/h !
3) roll-on 150-250km/h
4) 250-0 in meters !

By far the fastest in all accounts was the new beemer S1000RR...
305km/h,10,6sec,8,3sec and 235 m.
Second fastest was the MV Agusta F4;
297,12,0,10,5,254.
Fastest japanese was the Kawasaki ZX10R;
295,11,7,10,4,233.
Slowest japanese the Honda CBR1000RR;
289,12,3,9,1,261
Followed by the Aprilia RSVR;
285,13,1,9,4,242
Fastest twin the Ducati 1198S;
284,14,3,10,9,248
Slowest bike the KTM RC8R;
282,13,5,11,0,260

By the way there was a lot of carnage too where the first bike blew up.
The Aprilia RSVR destroyed a crankshaft,the GSXR 1000 put a whole in its crank-case by blowing a rod,the R1 blew a head-gasket,the MV F4 blew a tranny and the KTM burned a valve...
Only BMW,Honda,Kawasaki and Ducati had no problems running full throttle on the Nardo Track!
Pretty interesting is too that a MotoGP bike will go with a pro at the handle-bar 0-200 km/h in a little over 6 seconds and the S1000RR as the new high speed king in 6,9 sec roght out of the crate...
Too fast for the streets for sure but still pretty amazing what those new bikes will do with someone who knows how to do it!
