my rm comes up as japan... thats all it knew other than it was a suzuki. it didnt know the model or year of it

RM85's will come up with China as that is where they assembled, along with some other models incl LT80's LT50's and some other road stuff,

it is interesting to see where some of the models are made, some of the suzuki's quads are assembled in the US but still carry Japanese codes, i think it comes down to what percentage of the bike is made there, it gets confusing at times, we also have some Suzuki road bikes made in Spain and carrying a VIn number from their.

we also have kawasaki's that are assembled in Thailand, but they carry Japanese Vin Numbers,
