I just saw the interview with the national Health and Safety manager of KFC NZ on TV1 News.
Manurewa KFC had been complained about to the council health inspectors after serving undercooked chicken during busy periods.
The council investigation revealed that several regs were being broken, the kitchen was unsanitary and that staff needed better training.
The lady interviewed denied it all and catagorically stated "we do not serve undercooked chicken." and that "the council did not know what they were talking about"!
Unbelievebly beligerant and defensive! - I hope some video emergesfor those who missed it!
who here, has seen "out the back" there?

I will never have to that shit ever again. Last had a couple of weeks ago after a funeral out of respect for the deceased, she liked KFC and I thought it fitting that after 4-5 beers we should have a feed of that stuff. Bad idea, it really is shit in a bun.

I drive/ride past that KFC every day on my way to work, and Ripper Roo92 is quite partial to it.
I used to be a fan, but in the last few years have lost my appetite for it after rumours of tumor riddled chickens......
Of the few occasions I've succumbed and bought it, in the hopes that it will be as good as my youf-full memories, there has always been disappointment.
Yes, had heard niggles about it, but have also heard not so great comments about the Maccas opposite it.
Must be a manurewa thing.

This will make you laugh, Orewa used o have a KFC, It was notorious for it's food poisoning incidents and quality.
The food there was always a mixed bag, you just never knew how disgusting it would be.... From mould on the buns, to under cooked chicken, and luke warm everything else.
Food poisoning from even the coleslaw....
Anyway, It was all coming to a head.......... the council was over it, and had enough, but before they could act....... Some looney space cadet decided to break in and dance all over its ovens, floors and tables........
The ironic thing is, that before the looney space cadet did his dancing act, he first broke into the sewers and coated himself in human excrement from tip to toe. You could imagine the shitty mess that he made, literally.
After the clean up, KFC was canned and the council shut it down! The building is now a recreation centre facility......
I guess, Shit happens!:Punk:

KFC is great.
However, having spent many of my formative years snacking on the food from roadside stalls in Russia, both my digestive and immune systems are far more robust that those of your average plebeian.

In 1997 i ended up in auckland hospital for 3 days with food poisoning with a dozen other people who had also purchased kfc from an auckland kfc.
i think i've had 1 x chicken burger and maybe a potato and gravy from kfc since then.

Am not overly partial to it,but they used to have great thickshakes.Almost everytime I had chicken it was greasy, mashed spud, chups and coleslaw ok,burgers ok,but the chicken they're supposed to be named after is shite.

The local one down here the KFC cooked chicken needs to learn how to swim. It is always flowing in fat and grease. Behind the scenes is the same........ but to be fair, haven't heard of any raw chook or food poisoning.... locally.....
They have torn the place to pieces in a rennovation, so time will tell if it has improved any....
