"Free practice" sessions or test days during nationals? When, where, how?

Hey National riders,

We are wanting to find out some intel around extra practice days before nationals - when we are down south we want to get as much track time in as possible. Is there any info out there on when there are test days, pre the national rounds( like a day or two before each round) at each track??

Also what the norm with acc round the tracks - we are planning on parking the party bus.:Punk:... ah I mean 6 berth camper van... at the track and learning some secret tips off the experts.

ruapuna is usually open tuesdays and fridays for free practice, levels see the south canterbury car club website, and invergiggle is pretty easy i beleive, but im sure, maido will have better info than me. Obviously each friday prior is a test session. i think usually theres a mid week session at most tracks prior to nats which alot of guys attended last year on tues and weds.

I camped at all the tracks last year outside ruapuna, but there is a campsite just down the road to park the bus.

Just get the Force to chopper you in and out for each round Nelly , then you can stay at the interconntinental like you prefer.

for Invervagas, ring either Norma at teretonga and get a private hire (03 2130522)
or ring John Smart 0276004673 and see if the days leading up have something already organised. they usually run a unofficial practice on the wednesday or thurssday.
Also, good preparation for the nats is the Burt Munro challenge in November.

We'll put the request through - the crazy thing i can prob scame a ride in an airtrainer as hopefully it will be airshow season.... can't quite fit a race bike in the back of a CT-4 though.
