Final of World Championship Long Track, New Plymouth, 5th Nov 05

I've checked, and the Long Track is on again at New Plymouth on Saturday 5th November. I presume it will start at 2pm as per previous years.

Not sure if there'll be the associated bike show as last year.

I have my motel booked.

Will be booking my grandstand seat as soon as they become available.

If you haven't been, it's well worth going - this is the final round of the World Long Track series, and we get top class guys coming down here for it.

I'm strictly a tar baby, but I really enjoy this "dirty" stuff!!

Update: Jay Springsteen will be coming out for this - I presume he's not actually racing in the final, I would expect he will be doing some demo laps?

(For those who don't know Jay Springsteen is one of the greats from the US - think Kenny Roberts/XR750 Harleys!)

We may also get a top NZ road racer entering this event as well....watch this space.

If Springers coming he won't be riding no poofters longtracker - he'll be on an XR750! The kids can have Guy Fawkes by themselves.
