This Sunday come have a look, we can even throw you out on a bike for a try during lunch or something.

All competitors. Lay your bike on the ground. If it will touch, put some nylon on it. Buy some off cuts from Graley plastics or somewhere.

Dave, does the touching the ground include levers also?

Mine has sprouted skateboard wheels, but the expansion chamber might need some chopping board.

foot levers yes, but hand levers currently ok as long as include balls on the end, but that's a reg anyway.

I've been looking for Nylon for weeks and haven't managed to find any, where are Grayleys? None of the local (Jville) bike shops have been able to help me either.

And no I still haven't cleaned it, I picked the exhaust up from being welded on saturday but have been out of town since then so it's still in the back of the car.

Old Hutt road, over the road from Motomart & down a bit where Super-cheap is.

Grayley's have now moved to 7 Sydney st Petone, and aren't open saturdays.

I'm stuffed for tomorrow, I've been to Grayleys, 3 Warehouses, Rebel Sports, Bunnings and a Pack n Pedal looking for skate board wheels or anything similiar to use for crash bungs. I got som chopping board from The Warehouse but thats it, and I need something thicker and longer for most bits. I haven't got anything for the front axle bolts or 1 side of the rear.

And to top it all off I sold my car with the towbar last week and couldn't get a booking to get one fitted to the new car till next wednesday.

Any idea how much a towbar is (to have fitted?).

See ya there...

Found this information http://www.vicclub.co.nz/tiki-read_article.php?articleId=121, not sure what time it starts, but looks like it's at the Kaitoke Go-Kart track (not the Te Marua Speedway), the Go-Kart track is near the end of the Kaitoke hill on the right side.

Yea it's at Kaitoke, turn off to the right hand side in the middle of the roadworks and follow the low road I believe.

It's costing me $320 including the wiring to get a tow bar fitted to a '97 Forester at Wellington Tow Bars at the bottom of Vivian street. I got a couple of other quotes from places like Pit Stop and a couple of others and they were all in the high $300 dollar area.

Hi,

If anyone is interested. I've taken some photos while I was there this afternoon. If you let me know which bike you are I can pass you whatever photos I have of you.

Cheers!

I didn't get to race, YET ;), but watching looked as much fun as the last track day I went to!

Hopefully I'll be at the next meeting, even if it's as soon as next saturday!
Only thing, we need to organise it a little better. What I mean is, post the address and time to be there, as well as meet somewhere. I didn't know if there were any other KB'ers there - I'd like to come and say hi in future!

Hey, how do they work out placings? Or is there not too much emphasis on winning, more the actual riding?

i was there for a few hours too in the afternoon. I'm definately not averse to adding a bucket racer to the bike collection. any one know of a decent frame going cheap?

some good close racing. the new track is definately looking real good.

Got there just after the last race around 3.30pm.

Hope BungBung and F5Dave report on how their days went.

I'm suprised I even found the event and my bike is covered in dirt from the goat track down to the Kart Track. Apparently the sign that said the track was there had been removed.
