Just purchased one of these, according to my Suzuki dealer it should be a straight swop.

I ordered one last night, if you had posted a bit earlier I would have held off so that if it doesn't work only one of us would be stuck with one :shifty:
Actually looking again I ordered the other one they had advertised. I suspect one of us is going to end up with a fuel cap that has too few mounting holes.

Wanted to get an original one from suzuki and they wanted $300.They told me TL 1000,SV1000 and GSXR 600-1000 will fit.

Mine turned up today and seems to fit although its is a bit tight around the top, almost as is the cap is possibly a little too large. I guess I'll find ount on sunday whether it a) leaks b) vents Ok and doesn't get vaccum locked.
Part number I ended up with is FCS4 from

seems to fit Ok but the rubber seal thing isn't wide enough or thick enough for the FXR. have bodged it with some parts from another petrol cap I had in the shed and am going to try and get some suitable sheet rubber to make a new seal.

Worth the effort?
How many people have left there key at home?... I know two so far..

Sort of OK. worked for the day but when I had a look at home the bodgery with two seals looked to have gone astray. Geting some 5mm nitrile sheet to make a gasket that should do the trick. I'll let you know how it all goes. Guess I won't know for sure until after next months round.

I have high hopes for the nitrile sheet when it turns up, but not exactly a buy it bolt on for an FXR.
