View Full Version : V-Rod demo day!
V-Rod day
As the honourable Trash has pointed out on a number of occasions, there seems to be alot of interest in the Harley Davidson V-Rod range from the general public. In particular, members of this forum.
So, we're giving you the opportunity to join us for our V-Rod day on Saturday, June 25.
We'll have the BBQ cranking out sausages (WT hasn't touched them), liquid refreshments (no Steinlager, Trash drank it all) and a full range of VRSC models for you to ride, including the new Street Rod.
Bring your full licences along and sample the best Harley-Davidson has to offer.

Can I have a go?
Not after the damge you inflicted on the last one we lent you chasing that Cycosis fellah down the Castle point rd.
Now sod off and give someone else a go.

So........... It's not the screaming eagle, then?
Oh I had a ride on a sportster had trouble changing gear cause my feet aren't big enough. Will I encounter the same problem on this bike?
Ps:
Is there bread with the sausages? Or do we cup them in our hands and poor the sauce and onions on? Is there going to be onions and sauce too?
:innocent:

Just wondering if it is the Street Rod or the V-Rod? Becuase the street rod's the one with racier body positioning, and proper pegs, right?

Bread with sausages. (Thanks Ruth)
All models of VRSC including VRSCA VRSCB and VRSCR.
Anyone with a full licence is welcome to ride. That's the whole point, you don't even have to want to buy one.

Demo rides will be in groups leaving at 30 minute intervals and will be led to stop errant riders disappearing for a couple of hours at a time while others stand around getting fat on sausages.
If you're real lucky, they'll be led by me and we'll see some stoopid shit.

Yeah, but I'll take whatever I can get :ride:
When/if I'm ready to buy a V-Rod I'd expect atleast a half day test ride. But I'm not there yet :wait:

Hey matey, can I take the K5 out after the Street Rod ?
Or should I take the K5 first in preparation for the immense power of the Street Rod ?

VRSCA is the original V-Rod. Silver frame, heaps of chrome.
VRSCB is fundamentally the same machine with black frame, no chrome, different bars. $3000 cheaper.
VRSCR is the new Street Rod, heaps of cornering clearance, mag wheels, upside down forks, Brembo brakes. Farkin' cool.

Looks like a fine enough day for - V Rod day!!!!
Did somebody say K5???
Oh yeah, and since my SV is another two weeks awaiting overseas parts, Can I loaner the K5 or Rocket III till then?
The Gixxer anniversary 750 wouldn't be a bad loaner either! :wari:
Thanks Jimmie that was a blast. Ripper engine, stonking drive, you almost expect the front wheel to lift and it turns sweet as. Cruisers...there's something special about then that keeps drawing me back.

Big ups to WMCC, what a great morning. Tried the VRSCA -fun cruiser, I now see why folks buy them.(took a while to get used to the footpegs so far forward). Didnt enjoy the VRSCR so much. But the highlight of the day was a ride on the Triumph Rocket (2300cc) What an awesome machine! Couldnt believe something so huge handled so well and so smooth. Asked the guy who rode it before me what he thought as we swapped over...."I'm going in to buy one now" was his reply. And he did. Lucky b*stard!
Hey that's not fair sels1. I thought they rolled the Rocket out for real 'shoppers' only.
Bugger it, I should have hung around longer. So if you were buying between the VRod and Rocket sels1, which one? Rocket looks like a big handful compared to how easy you could move the VRod about

For me, the Rocket. Despite its size, (wouldnt want to park it on a hill) it was really nice to ride.

Stuff the Harley and the Trumpie - I test rode the REAL rocket - the K5 Gixxer.
Fark me - that thing is ballistic. Brain overload material.
I found my answer from another thread about what is 'stupidly fast'.
The Repsol better be good.........
I'm pleasantly surprised there were no complaints made to the shop about some fuckwit on a blue K5 that day.

Don't worry - they're still being compiled, collated, and cross-referenced. They'll be submitted in due course.

No complaints, but I had a couple of calls going something like "There's some gibbering idiot on a K5 gixxer out there. He's afraid to get it off the pilot jet."
