Vic Club Round 4

Thought it was about time I gave it a go (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/entry.php/1676-So-this-racing-lark-....)

WARNING This post requires an attention span somewhat longer than that of a Gold Fish.

Lots!!! And I really like wet tyres. They're 100% good for the 1st turn and I don't need to fark around with trye warmers. So much easier.

Might see you at round 6 chanceyy.

As of the 1st September I'll be part time only at work so I won't have any spare cash to throw at having fun Rach. I'm hoping that by Round 6 I'll have something sorted but it's highly unlikely that I'll have something for Round 5.

That 3 cylinder trumpet went good considering its still early days in its development. Work on those ergonomics - theres time in that and its mostly free n cheap as well. Thanks for the quick spin mate.

Thanks for the feedback mate. As I said nobody else had ridden it so it was great to have someone ride it and confirm it has potential and there's nothing major wrong with it. Since the weekend I've got a much better idea of what I can do to lower times a fair bit.

gearbox ratios
a slipper clutch
it was 2 teeth too small on the rear sprocket

6th was almost redundant on the long track

suspension needs a visit to Dr Robert

it was bottoming out and pogo-ing at the end of the straights (I balanced the front wheel properly and that vibration went away)
and the high speed left handers things got bouncy as well so I couldn't hold the throttle fully open

move the footpegs backwards a bit (but not up higher)

2 teeth too small? that needs rectifying pronto!!!
