I'm tempted to get a negative ion generator to help an allergy sufferer who lives in my house.
I've always been a bit sceptical of such technology, but after reading Google for a bit it seems they really do help people.

Does anyone have a negative ion generator and would like ot share there thoughts on it?

Does anyone know od some place I can buy one from in New Zealand? There seem to be a few places on Google - but I can't establish their reputation, and I can easily see a few scam artists selling this stuff since it would be hard to say if the device was working or not.

Read all about these quite extensively some years ago...it would seem that they do produce positive results...

Doesn't a spider plant do the same thing?

Bahahah. Wow.
Sounds like an overpriced air filter.

When I was given one as a gift - I found those cheap "fog fountains" have one of them in em.
Some cheap air purifiers also have them.
Cool tingly sensation when you put your finger near it.

Probably does help. Just the same as my dad liking the feeling of a tens (sp?) unit buzzing his fucked up muscles.

Buy a dehumidifier. It will purify the air a lot better.
