Who can remove threads?

Have I been asleep and missed something? Are the "happy birthday" threads no longer allowed? I used to enjoy reading them but they've been conspicuous by their absence and I wonder if there is now a no-birthday-thread thing in place.

I put one up for gijoe1313 today and it's gone. Now, if Justin didn't want it there and removed it then that's fine, but I'm more interested in are we not allowed to post them any more?

I think you will find its been merged with the "other birthday thread" (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php/127424-The-wanderer-celebrates-another-birthday!?p=1129838209) for Justin Multiple threads are quite often merged

it was probably merged with any other threads on the same subject. Very rare to see any threads actually deleted. Only mods can do so

Seriously, I did scan the first page or so of RnR looking to see if someone had posted one already for him but couldn't find one. Possibly that's my bad for expecting to see "Happy birthday...." and it may well have been titled something else.

I did wonder about merging, but as I hadn't seen a recent one for it to be merged with that was what made me consider the delete option!
