Ride to Kellys Bay

A mate and I headed up for an epic adventure to Kellys bay. She encountered some shows along the way, but the weather wasn't too bad on Sunday.

Last 2km to the bay was pretty knarly on a sports bike, I recommend MX skills if you don't have the right equipment :Punk:

Anyway, get some popcorn and enjoy the vid....

I lived ten years in Dargaville - usta go to Kelly's Bay quite a lot. Spent more time fishing at Tangatiki Bay though...

Well, you certainly don't want to be taking Vixen down those metal roads, its very hairy having both wheels bouncing on the big stones at the same time :bye:

Is it just the access road to Kelly's that's still unsealed? I thought the road down to Pouto was sealed pretty much right through..?

From the Toilet about 100meters and the road down is all unsealed, but the Kellys part is pretty hairy.

We didn't feel like braving Pouto after the Kellys bit, so can't vouch for that.
