in February next year I will be back in the South Island for the TT 2000.
I am interesed in one of the add on roads which runs from Niagara around the coast to Fortrose.
The last time I was through this road was in 2001 in a Camper Van. I recall some gravel. The TT 2000 route also takes further side trips to Slope and Waipapa Points. I am expecting those side roads to be gravel.
I would really appreciate an up date from any local Southern Riders who may have been through this area recently. How much gravel is there and what is condition like?

The road through the Caitlins from Fortrose to Owaka is all sealed and reasonably tidy. Watch out for sheep and campervans.

The road you refer to has been sealed for many years. The road I am looking for information about turns off the main Caitlins Road and goes througn Niagra, Waikawa, Haldane and Otara to Fortrose instead of Quarry Hills and Tokanui.

In that case I haven't got a clue.
