Hi, my bf is trying to find a wiring diagram for a xiong tai zongshen, I have looked online but found nothing. Does anyone know where to get one or one that would be a suitable substitute?

In all seriousness, unless you can find an English speaking importer for them that has manuals (highly unlikely) you are going to struggle.
If it needs work your best bet is an automotive electrician....and they probably won't be too happy to work on it...

4stroke single with basic lighting and ignition isn't such a huge deal to a decent m/cycle mechanic.
The problem with many of the new manufactures out of asia, is they source switchs/looms from different suppliers, so the colour coding will change several times from the source coil, to the various switch's etc.
Time is required, and time costs.
Find a sympathetic/quiet shop and let them work through it. Don't hassle them too much, and set reasonable demands.
It's actually enjoyable tracking down unusual faults, so long as the pressure on all parties is light.

Thanks for the quick responses - and the laugh, and sorry about my late one, I got distracted and then the earthquakes distracted me further....
He did manage to find the manual (which had a wiring diagram!) - he hadn't looked thoroughly enough! The wiring diagram is only somewhat similar to the bike itself, and yes, the colours are different and the labels on it are hard to understand (maybe just for us). It's frustrating as there aren't a lot of wires and even less places for them to go. It looks like it should be easy but of course it isn't. Why oh why did he have to unplug everything! ARGH!
I guess it's off to someone who knows what they are doing!
