I need to get a rider assessment before I am allowed to ride my bike (road) :scooter:i got the OK to drive again, but the Community Based Rehabilitation Team (CBRT) did not know how to test
for riding a bike,:slap: so left it to the doctor who had no idea, so sent me armed with a letter of to the NZ Transport Agency (AA office) they in turn said they would send it off to the Chief Medical Adviser Transport Registry Centre.
Well I got a call from them (CMATRC) I just have to do a rider assessment, from any approved motorcycle training course, just ride around the block.
Cut a long story short, anyone know of an approved MTC in the Auckland area?

If its an approved motorcycle training instructor, since you're in Manukau, you could ring up John Wright (number should be around somewhere).

KB, Dawn, qkchk could be your girl?

Or you could just send us a YouTube link to your best wheelie and stoppie and we'll give you the KB assessment.

What a run around- talk about buck-passing (or old guy-passing) No one is interested in helping you, just in covering their arse. NZ seems to have so many rules/laws/restrictions that are impractical! These rules get passed or established, and then it is up to some poor member of the public to run the gauntlet and get it sorted. Drives me crazy!!!

Sorry-ranting- good luck oldguy :)
