Well, as of this moment, sitting ensconced in the demesne of DONOR (for I am leeching his internets) ... I am the proud owner of a spanking new CB1000R Predator in Sword Silvery Livery :woohoo:

Last Saturday, I made an appearance in Botany Honda after a little voice on my cellphone whispered "You need to come down and have a little test ride on one or two bikes ... no strings attached!" Or words to that effect.

Bastard.

Anyhow popping in on my Big Ol'Hornet, I spent a pleasant few hours test riding the CB600 and CB1000R. My word, I did rather enjoy it!

I enjoyed it so much, I spoke to Richard (that super sales bastard that what rung me) about getting me one in so I could call it my own, buy it bling and ride and ride and ride it! :innocent:

Without too much work, Richard and the lads at Botany Honda sorted me out one of the two Sword Silver Preddies left in stock and I just made the arrangements to transfer ownership from them to me! :devil2:

So today, freed from the constraints of school this afternoon, DONOR and I rocked up to Botany to collect my newly minted ride :woohoo: Oh, how those hours did slowly ticky by!

And now, I have ridden it away from the dealership, it has only a scottoiler on it at the moment to sustain my travel down to some locale that will probably see me having to do a 1000km service on Monday (I wanted it for Saturday, but alas, Botany does not have their workshop open).

Things to be installed eventually will be :

Tyre hugger
Tail tidy
Oggy knobs
Light protector
Zorst

and anything else that takes my fancy! :innocent: :sunny:

The ride back has let the bike be known as a female ... her name, yet to be decided!

Wooohooo, you're getting quite a stable of pretty wee fillies aren't you???
Didn't I see your lil red Hornet at school today parked next to RR92's GS?

(Hahaha, did you see Davin's Samurai parked next to my bandit outside his office today? - I think I have the sexier bike......but then I am biased )

Congratulations on the new purty lady!

Thats one mean looking ride, It looks aggressive, and has alot of everything, power and prestige.........
Not so sure on your choice of riding gear, looks all a bit to pink for me, but hey you'll fit in well in a Marti gras' lol....

Stay upright, not uptight. Respect the power and live to enjoy it on one wheel. Incidently, can we ask what you got it for. I think thats the nicest looking sports machine in the Japanese range by far.:sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sunny::sun ny:

I'm pretty sure he got it for riding around on.

GI's a 100000k a year rider. I think he knows how to respect the right hand...

Mission accomplished, Predator is now run in for her 1000km service and I got to know the sassy bitch a bit better! (This sounds so droll compared to what I did to get her there!)

And oh yeah, am loving her long time! (But I will still be riding my 900 and other bikes as well!)

Will be getting the usual fruit for it, tail tidy (to replace that horrible spade!) and tyre hugger. Light protector to go on front, along with some oggies. Will replace the HALO shotgun blaster can with a Leo Vince later on (want to see how it runs stock first before the new zorst goes on!)

As well all know, always good to have a new bike to putt around on! :msn-wink: Now it's had it's 1000km service, I can just ride it a bit more before the 6000km soon (On 1450km after my first run in ride on it!) :innocent:
