Has anyone any news as to the status of the Ruapuna circuit at the moment?

Apparently the main straight has a bit of bump, but otherwise okay.

If the car meeting on Sat was called off at least partly due to damage to the tower, no probs with going back to radios from ground level - at least for a while.

Fark !!!!!!

BSB Cadwell racing last weekend was great! Brookes is like that everytime over the mountain. He gets such great drive that he can then overtake into Hall bends. Amazing.

Think he has pushed Rea out now as King of the Mountain

To all Members and Motorsport Fans and those concerned about the impact of the earthquake on Powerbuilt Tools Raceway

Thank you for the many messages of interest and concern received as a result of the earthquake which has damaged so many buildings in and around Christchurch on Saturday Morning. Fortunately the circuit itself is undamaged and buildings have suffered only minor damage which will not prevent any further events from taking place. Contrary to some rumours the circuit remains quite flat with no motard humps to speak of. Thanks also to Hampton Downs for the kind offer of the use of their track.

As a precaution and because power was lost to the circuit on Saturday, both the Endurance Event scheduled for the Saturday and Sunday's Speed event were called off. A decision will be made soon on whether the Endurance event will be rescheduled.

Our thoughts are with our members, supporters and sponsors who may have received serious damage to their homes or business properties.

Glad to see "puna" all ok.....................although some elevation would be good.
Should just seal off some of the minor roads round here and create "natures own" motard circuit :gob:............. some of the northern city sub-divisions would be perfect.:shit:
Thanks for your thoughts guys:sunny:
