Any KB member that may know anyone or need a place to live for a while, whilst shite gets soughted for ya??

I'll donate a bit of storage. If you have anything that would be useful for someone, and Shaun can take it down you can store it at my workshop on SH1 Levin until he picks it up.

Help please, can you talk with who you know, and see if you can arrange an area for this trailer that would be suitable.

Total length is 6mtr,s it also has a fully enclosed awning, that is 4.5x 3mtr so total width of 5mtr

I was thinking some where safe like RUAPUNA track, ie, toilets there for a family with kids.

I have a couple of Taranaki companies that are donating food parcels so far, and will go hard for the next few days to achieve more

It is time for all to share on this dissaster.

Thats an extremely noble and selfless offer that anyone could make. Most of us of course have not got large trailers that can offer such practical assistance. Its also easy for many of us here in the North Island to view it as a problem ''in another country'' when it could happen just as easily in our hometowns.
But many of us of course have friends and or associates in the Canterbury region and I hope to that end at least feel compelled to contact them first and see what assistance can be provided in their real time of need.

You won't achieve anything more by spamming the site with large numbers of threads. Keep it all in one place - ta.

I'd offer a room in my home for anyone who wants to get away............ but since the earth has shaken 3 times here in the last 24 hours, don't think anyone from the South will want to come to HB :shit:

Have sent stuff already to a friend west of Chch, but good on ya for getting out there and doing something mate,

Your right in saying its not all down to the govenment to sort this out, we're Kiwis and and are known for helping anyone out.

This is really impressive Shaun. We are lucky enough that our place wasn't damaged. But there are 1000's of Kiwi's right now in ChCh and the surrounding areas who do need help.

You want some money for caffeine / food on your travels. PM me an account.
Need to keep people like yourself moving, I can't offer much - but if all it takes is a cup of coffee and a warm pie to help you go and extra hour I am happy to help.

Is this just for KB'ers in need, or anyone at all? It would be a loss to have put all this effort in and not have anyone here take it up. I'm sure media like Breakfast TV would be happy to give you some mention etc.

It,s for ANYONE in need mate, hense I tried to post it in other forums to try and get the word out there.

If you want to, or would not mind, push it any where you can mate, and be proud to be a real true Kiwi

I think once you get it down here, you'll have no trouble finding someone that has a need for it. There are already a couple of caravans in driveways out where I live because the house is unsafe, and probably more to come if people have to move out while their houses are repaired. If I hear of anyone in dire need of accomodation need I'll let you know.

Oh, and top work making a big effort to help :clap:

Good on ya Shaun. Got a bunch of family down there myself but they have been some of the fortunate ones.
My transport Company has donated a full unit to go South on Saturday. We only started putting it together Tuesday and it is now full to the brim.
Well done the Kiwi battler.

Unfortunately the RED CROSS down there in CH CH are being less than co-operative with a place to ditabute the goods I am bring down that people are donating ( Claiming it will hurt the local economy,) Haha Yea I understand that long term, but not NOW when stuff is needed by some, so I am arranging today with Catholic schools to leave it all at, and my personell focus is on food and clothes.

Appreciate your efforts mate, my place was Ok sans a couple of speakers and the contents of the pantry . I work with only 12 people and 4 of them have lost their homes so I'm doing what I can to help them out . Does'nt help that the Supermarkets ( Aftermarkets ? ) have a lot of empty shelves and still difficult to get round the city , cops are good and the army guys are as well ... Cheers:mellow:
