Best place to buy used on a budget?

Is TradeMe still king as far as private sales go? I've looked at Sella, Trade and Exchange and motorcycletrader.co.nz but offerings on those sites are a bit thin for my budget. I've got about $3k to spend so dealers are out of the equation.

Any suggestions for other places to browse?

no other suggestions, i had a similar amount to spend and trademe was the best bet for me. not a lot in the buy sell and exchange or other sites.

Thanks for the suggestions Gibbo. Yeah looking for a sport/tourer style but nothing under a 500cc. Last bike was a SV650S so something similar would be very nice.

There's no way you'd get anything close to a SV650S for 3k.

The last 3 bikes I bought have come from trademe, but they have all been classifieds rather than auctions. Much easier way to buy as you can look, negotiate a price and its a done deal. The auctions can go a bit silly and from what I've seen people quite often end up paying more than they really should have.
