1987 GPX 250 (EX 250)
Excellent learners bike, front and back disc brakes.
2 cylinder parallel twin 8 valve carburetor fuel type bike.
Original unrestricted 14,000 rpm red-line 38hp

Things that have been done:
New Pirellii Sport Daemon front tyre ( less than 1000 km )
Near new Bridgestone BT39 Battleax rear tyre
New clutch cable
Service twice in the last 6000 km
Brake pads done on front.
Fuel filter installed
New seat.
Comes with PackRack as seen in the photos ( currently the rack has been removed for round town riding )

Only known fault: Choke must be held during colder months to start. Investigated repair which turns out to be a small pieces of plastic on the carb. Have replacement carb unit if buyer is interested. I simply got used to holding the choke for 8-10 seconds when starting. Never affected operation when riding.

Have really enjoyed learning to ride on this bike. As many others have mentioned is forgiving and reassuring as you learn. As you grow more confident and gain more skill you can really begin to have fun as the GPX possesses more power than a lot of 250s.
These bikes have legendary reliability and performance for bike that was made between 1987-2007 with only minor ascetic updates. This means finding parts is easy via Trademe and local dealers. They are still very popular!
Have recently attained my full license and plan on shifting away towards the end of the year, so time to sell for now.

Thanks!! It was a bit neglected when I got it, I didn't even notice the wheels were suppose to be red until the first clean. She gets regular cleans, polish and services :) Plus as much riding as I can.
