Choppa for the win. Dion second. Nick third. And Craig dead last because he's old and past it. (And likes to play those sorts of head games)

You're on drugs. Choppa is going to thump the living shit outta the lot of them. Craig's just going to fuck around coming in and out of the pits all day changing and refining his set up.

No not yet unfortunately, NZ are getting the gear around the start of next year to load in data sets but at this stage I had to send my ECU to Alpha Racing. They have developed the data sets and it is about the same price to send it to them to get them to program it as it is to buy the data set.

The problem we have had is when Moggy sent the ecu etc he declared the value of the ECU etc to be 5k. This caused a big drama with German customs so that is where the ECU remains.

We are trying to organise a unit to borrow but it doesnt look like it will happen

Can't you just get Alpha to send out relatively inexpensive replacement eeprom/flash chips rather than sending back/forward a very expensive ECU?

Take the oportunity to buy a High Quality Slipper clutch now then also, as that is where the problem is coming from with the gear boxes in them, the box if fine, the clutch is not that good, and if you dont buy one, be very gental and precise with gear changes

Its the loading of the info that is the prob mate :)

Oh really! That is some good info cause I have heard some storys. I was wondering why I have been seeing aftermarket clutches popping up

I'd imagine if someone were to crack open the ECU then inside it would be some sort of common and relatively inexpensive flash or EPROMs holding the fuel maps/trims. Surely your yurrupean cuzzies can purchase these aforementioned chips, bung em in another ECU, program them up before removing the aforementioned chips and sending them to your good self to have em bunged into your ECU?

No doubt one of the multitude of electronics experts on this site will know if I'm talking bollox...which i probably am but that's what happens when you finish work at 3pm on a Friday and get stuck into Stil vodka.

On drugs??? No just the simple fact that you should always listen to the woman.....She's right 99.9% of the time....See Sloan dosen't have a bike & by the sounds of it Nick's isn't finished so looks like it's upto Dion & Craig just like i said

I don't think I'd get too carried away as if I'm not mistaken, the rules for SBK don't allow aftermarket clutch's, just plates and springs. This is unless these new invisible rules change that!

If you have any questions with ya touring bike Choppa, I know the guys Jeremy Toye and Chris Peris that have been developing the SR1000 in the states and I sure I could get some info out of them if need be. They both had exactly the same issue with ECU and had to send to Alpha Tech, made big difference.

Oh cheers thanks Dom! Im looking forward to getting the ECU done, might have to wait a bit longer though.....

I would be keen to get some info out of those guys in the states. They were some of the first domestic series guys to start racing them

Maybe all four of them could hold hands and cross the finish line together?

Looks like I won't be there as there are not enough chairs from a line up :(

Soooooooo, any word on the race/class format? There were murmurs of combining F1/F2 at one stage to even up track time. Be great to see more of Nick, Craig, Choppa, Dion.....or is just same old same old with bugger all track time for the blokes most folks want to see?

For several riders its the beginning of testing for the Nationals plus getting back on a bike and blowing out their own personal cobwebs. Yes they all like to win but finding setting directions is more important that will pay dividends later on during the summer series.
So if a rider ( any rider ) is coming in and out of the pits dont believe the commentator that there is a bike problem, its because stuff is being tried ( invariably ) You dont go forward unless you try stuff and there is ALWAYS new stuff. Sometimes you might test 10 combinations, 3 might work very well and 7 might be rubbish.

What you meant to say is that you might try 7 YSS shocks. And they're all rubbish.

So why waste your time....... :D

It's ok, some computers had mice back in 1989.

The Vic Club el presidente assures me that there will be extra races for F1 entrants. Expect to see Frankencane taking some scalps if it rains.
