This is the taillight on a bike I'm restoring. I'm trying to find out what model it's off...
Anyone know, it may not be a bike one??

What model bike are you restoring? Are you trying to get back to original?

What model bike are you restoring? Are you trying to get back to original? It's for a chopper, GS1000 based, I bought a motor from you for it. It has a huge amount of parts from other bikes some I know what they're from , some I don't...

No idea what it's from, hence asking the learned folk from Kiwibiker, and the ignorant too!

Not sure what group I fit into but I do have a nasty feeling I've seen one before alongside the maltese cross tail lights and the ape hangers. Are there any markings inside?

Certainly won't discount it being an aftermarket item. The bike was built by Steve Roberts in 1981 (plastic Fantastic designer and builder) aside from the headlights, throttle body, air filters, gas cap (off a jerry can) and clutch lever assembly everything else is either custom made or OEM Honda Suzuki or Yamaha.
No markings on either the body of the tail light or the lenses, although they could have been removed when getting chrome plated.
Threads are metric.
