Here is an update on the track work and racing for this Sunday.
If you want to race, it would be good to turn up on Saturday morning to help with the final clean up.

Gidday,
A huge thank you to all those who came out to the track over the weekend.
Your assistance has ensured that a club day race meeting can take place next weekend. And while we will be operating on a restricted basis we have made giant leaps towards the completion of this stage of the refurbishment of the dummy grid area.
We will continue these efforts next Saturday morning and should have the track operational in the afternoon for practice prior to Sunday. Starting at 9AM please bring out your kart and a broom, rake or shovel as the sooner we can complete the requirement for track safety and a general tidy up the sooner you can have a go.
Yours etc,
The Works Team

We will be running clubday this Sunday but without a dummy grid in the pits.

SO FOR THIS CLUBDAY The trackwill only be used in an anticlockwise direction. SO WE WILL RACE IN REVERSE OR ANTI CLOCKWISE. Once all karts have left the track by way of the pit shute, the next practice group may enter the track also by the pit shute and begin there session starting on the Lascom straight. Trolleys must be left in the pit shute and not at the side of the track.

We need a final working bee this Saturday morning, 18 September. Please bring brooms, shovels , rakes and wheel barrows for a final tidy up.

ok guys, well it looks like the weather could go both ways on sunday. Hopefully it will rain itself out before then'

Just remember that Kaitoke has a different weather pattern to the rest of wellington so at least commit to loading the bike up & coming on out. we could very well have a dry track for most of the day as was the case last time after practice it was dry all day.

I'll be there with a new bike to try out.

Just spent the day stripping bits off and adding plastic so hoping enough turn up so I can get a few laps in.

Wicked day at the track, weather was mint, lots of track time, nearly a scrap at the track and a mint turn out too! If you count THREE RIDERS as a mint turn out that is. Jeez where the hell was everyone!? The first dry day at Kaitoke in months and only 3 of us show up.

Things to see, people to do.
A scrap you say..... hmmm, sounds interesting. At least you got plenty of track time.

Haha nah it was just a bit of an argument with some spectators. It was assumed that a tank camera was stolen by these teenagers sitting in a car. It wasn't stolen, just taken off the bike and chucked under a trailer. Because I was rushing to get out on track I was a little bit more straight forward than I would normally be. I would say it was fair to assume it was them, no one else was around. Oh well.

Perfect weather, great track, had a ball on the new bike (needs more ground clearance and stiffer suspension but what the hell, it has an electric start).

A couple of guys who were thinking of getting into bucket racing turned up. Shame we couldn't give them a better showing.

Some good photo's taken on the day by nephew. Will post a few when they come through

ARSEBISCUITS!!

Well I missed the last Kaitoke 'cause of a dreadful stomach bug/ foodpoisoning thingy. Seems it has sat dormant for a month & hit me again on sat. No chance of riding (or getting far from the bog. And then I see the weather. ARRRGGGHH!

ahh shurrup. oh well the 50 is slow up the hill with al those corners to accelerate out of, so I'll hope for good weather on the 17th Oct & that it is clockwise.

I'll be missing a good trail ride at Tangimoana, but I want to race Kaitoki!!
