why dont you just replace the socket fittings and put normal blubs in?

Same as fitted to BMW cars and such like - Repco will have them.Just nip one pin off a normal bulb and they will stay in.Only for the front,no white lights to the rear.

KLR650 has similar (offset pin) arrangement for its indicators, and I couldn't find any of those, either. I bought standard bulbs from Supercheap and just pulled out one of the pins.

Have not had any problems with the bulbs falling out or anything else.

I have had to just do exactly that, I couldn't find bulbs anywhere here in Nz so it ended up being quicker and cheaper to replace the bulb holders.

These bulbs you can order from Pete at motokiwi@paradise.net.nz
Moto Guzzi parts (09) 372 5312. Trust Moto Guzzi or Vespa to have something odd like this on their bikes, I tried tracking these bulbs down through every outfit in Nz and no-one had them. Thank goodness for Pete at Moto Guzzi parts he knows his stuff.

They are really QUEER bulbs, like you say, but reasonably common on some italian bikes. I even had trouble locating them overseas.

these bulbs are common on Euro cars, my Skoda has them all over it, go to ANY dealership selling Euro cars, their parts dept. will surely have them. Repco, too, no doubt.

Yes,see post 3,although it appears no one has yet.Coloured bulbs are now legal tender for faded lenses, you can get red 380's from Repco, and we use the orange ones the poster requires for indicators too.
