Venue Change for the NZ Vets and Woman’s Motocross Champs,
Due to the continued bad weather and amount of rain we have had in the past month the Pukekohe Motorcycle Club has changed the venue of the NZ Vets and Woman’s champs to be held this weekend,
The New Venue is still natural terrain and in style with how the event was originally set up, the new venue is Peter Young’s Property, Cnr of Mckenzie Road and Old SH2 Mangatawhiri,
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=Mangatawhiri,+New+Zealand&sll=-37.213037,175.126362&sspn=0.006742,0.009645&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Mangatawhiri,+Waikato,+New+Zealand&z=12
It will be posted from the Mangatawhiri Exit of the SH2 Maramaura Expressway in both directions.
All other details stay the same,
Regards
Scott Wilkins

actually getting quite comman on off road events here, most cross countrys are like this now and more and more mx races are getting this way, since we use alot of working farms and it is not uncomman for cows to eat tearoffs and can die from them it is a small price to pay to rip up someones nice paddock

Hard in a spint racing situation but I always tuck my used tear off into the top of my boot. You can pretty much do it on the run if you pick your spot??

Hi Scott, getting confused here. Received a mail out yesterday which says venue change is to be Mercer Ferry Road, Mercer. Are we now racing at Puke's Mercer sand track or still at Mangatawhiri? I'm hopeing its Mercer
Cheers

you should have come back sunday, track was awesome, and got the approval of all the riders, huge thanks to the club members that worked into the night clearing the slop
you can not stop the rain, and reschuduling is not really an option when you have that many people travelling from the south island,
and if you think you can do better, apply to run them next year, or any other event for that matter, ill be first to pay my entry fee and ride,

Are you able to control the weather?

No matter what there will always be people who complain.
If its been raining then yes there will be some mud and water - not hard to figure that one out.
Few weeks back we took our son down to Huntly to a PRACTICE day - it had been pissing down with rain the night before & early hours of the morning.
So it was pretty obvious that there will be mud there. people's choice whether they went or not.
Many came and many complained it was too muddy!
yes our boy struggled in parts of the mud but it did him some good to ride in it as you never know just when you're faced with it in a racing situation - as said above you can't control the weather.

And I'm sure that if this was held in Jan or Feb that people like the above would complain that it was to hot and dusty...............sometimes you just can't win !!!

Thanx for a good weekends riding Scott and Puke mx club. I choose to only ride Sunday (and enjoyed that).
Was awesome watching Mitch Rowe on saturday powersliding round the corners. Best moment was watching Courtney scrubbing the jump, sad she didn't take first place.
Well done Pukekohe motorcycle club
