Just to get you all a little excited/jealous, I just walked the track at Thunder Valley.
It is friggin HUGE!!! The jumps are massive!
Make sure you all log on and watch it live, weather is going to be mint.
Spotted Josh Coppins' bike container sitting with the Italians, Belgium, and Finland.

Roll on the weekend!!!!!!!

How much will it cost? I find freecaster tv useless, runs for a bit, then stops, no flow to it. Anyone else have this problem with freecaster? Doesnt matter low or high quality streaming, and its only 6 euro to watch which is pretty cheap, and the time zone makes it good for viewing as well.

The allisports stuff is great, even the live feed stuff theyve had.

i know Brad was flying in today, and i am pretty sure the townleys and Josh are as well, not to sure if they are riding anywhere tomorrow

we are pitted out of the Troy Lee Designs team rig, as they have hired it to team NZ,

yep Josh is on the factory Aprillia for the last time i think

we have an outside chance of a podium, Brad has a big step up to this level but if he can pull off a top 20 finish we have a outside chance of a podium if BT and Josh can ride to their level,

BT has a chance of a moto win i think as well

I agree, we've had a bad run with injury etc for the last few years, perhaps our planets will align this year.

2nd race BT passed short and short went down hard. Was just a hard racing pass.
Yanks are calling karma on BT, he dropped it while in 2nd place in the last race, looks like he's tweaked his knee or something.

Townley wins moto at MXON in Denver

Representing New Zealand at the 64th edition of the Motocross of Nations held in Denver Colorado, Ben Townley scored an impressive moto victory in front of 35.000 the Thunder Valley raceway over the weekend. Teaming up with Josh Coppins (MX1) and Brad Groombridge (MX2) Townley was the Open class representative and one of the favourites to win the individual classification in that class.

As the MX2/OPEN moto got underway, Townley had a decent start and quickly shut down fellow Honda racer Andrew Short from the USA. BT wasted no time in making an aggressive pass on the American with both riders not backing down. It was Short who came off second best as Townley managed to keep upright and take over the lead. A charging Ken Roczen from Germany made for some exciting racing when he passed Townley for the lead. BT settled into a race rhythm and set up the young German for a great pass where he succeeded to pull a comfortable lead to put Team NZ high up on the score board with his superb victory.

The final and deciding MX1/Open moto once again saw BT challenging for the win. With the USA duo of Ryan Dungey and Andrew Short out front Townley closed in on Short and made the move on the American with five laps gone. Townley pushed to keep Dungey honest however around the halfway mark he made a vital mistake and went down hard, twisting his ankle in the process. Townley remounted and tried to complete another lap but had to retire with a sprained ankle.

“It was great winning the first moto” explained Townley “ There were so many Kiwi supporters cheering us on today and to win for them is amazing. Of course I’m disappointed with my crash in the second moto. Luckily nothing is broken, just some swelling and pain so I should be ok in a few days. The Motocross of Nations is a such a special event to me – the camaraderie between the teams is great to see and experience. I’m proud of what we achieved with Josh and Brad and look forward to next year in St. Jean d’Angely in France.

Damn that Roczen kid is fast. The way he moves around on the bike and moves the bike beneath him is nuts!

Awesome racing by Ben. It's the biggest event in MX you're not going to take it easy on the other guys.

Whats it going to take to beat the yanks? they are so up them selves, they are even starting to mock the FIM world series, well there fans are.

As for Josh, I think he would be a #6 maybe even better in the FIM, if not for riding the Aprilia, I dont think the bike was up to the task, in the MXoN.

Dungey vs Cairoli? 450 vs 350? is the displacement the differences or is Dungey the man.
Could Cairoli have done better on a 450?
