Hi guys,

Motosoc is the University of Canterbury Motorsport Society. Through the year we host private motosoc track days, parties and events for students. This year however, thanks mostly to the earthquake, our big final end of year party had to be canceled.

So we decided to put on a track day, and then it got out of hand...

Firstly I asked if the bikers could come, and then asked if we could get a whole bunch of displays and a BBQ and things, and then some other people organised some things and BOOM we have the mega track day and motorsport expo

$65 will get you half hour split session cars (so tell your cager mates) and bikes all day, and a BBQ!

If you want to come along email Petrea prp33@uclive.ac.nz spots are limited!

Bring the Lotus and have a play with the cars. We all know you like to ruffle some feathers in us young ones from time to time, you'd certainly be doing that if you came in the car!

Dont know if I can get there. The car had a shelf of racing wheels fall on it during the earth quake and the front of the car and the windscreen was smashed, the car is fixed however we are waiting on another winscreen to arive but they can't tell when it will get here.

Dave-

Thanks for the track day, had a ball. Sorry about leaving a bit early, hay fever was playing havoc with my eyes.
Next time I will bring another car that goes a bit faster in the straights. The old MG is fine in the corners but needs another 100bhp to keep up with modern cars and there is not that many more HP you can get out of a BMC A series motor.

Cheers P_

PS - Dave - let me know when you're up for renewals too, I'd be in... might have to dye the hair to blend in, but I'd be in.

Well who would have thought a BMW K series head would fit on an BMC A series motor. It's not really a perioud modification. Love the idea of it.

I have a friend who has a cooper 1275 Mini that has a 8 port cross flow DOHC head that has 120 bhp. The really is a race car and it's not nice to drive on the road.

onearmedbandit(Fraser) and Jo,who unfortunately came off when his beautiful NSR seized at the end of the straight

Word at the track yesterday was that he had fractures....really sorry to hear
