On it again

Whelp, rode again today for only the third time since open-heart surgery back on June 18th. Almost enjoyed it this time, but my mojo's still not up to 10/10ths yet, so I sorta missed the feeling of "being onto it", "in the groove", that sorta thing.
My shoulder wasn't really an issue this time, apart from getting my jacket on and off, which turned out to be a bit of a painful one-sided wrestling match. Still, no near misses or "oopses" this time, so no real negatives to mar my four-trips-in-one (to work and back, to the doctor near home and back to work).
And wasn't the weather great? Big change from the last few shitty days, warntit?

Pleased to read that you're on the bike again.

These ain't cheap, but they're good under a vented leather jacket if the temperature drops. In addition to the listed benefits they have one other advantage: it's easier to pull a jacket on over one of these than it is otherwise.

It' d probably pay to get one size bigger than normal, that'd spare you having to wrestle into the EDZ which would defeat the purpose.

I've ridden every day I can, and I'm taking the 'tourist scenic route' to work and back, and having fun with it (apart from yesterday, when I forgot my wallet, so had to be careful to keep a low profile - no lane-splitting or that sort of thing).
It still hurts getting the jacket on and off, but once I'm on the bike I'm quite comfy.
The riding's pretty good - no 'Minties Moments' or causes for concern. However, the extended break has made me dissatisfied with the rear shock's setup (feels clunky and not right), and I've decided I no longer like the Avon Storms. The rear's done its heat cycles, so is lacking in grip, and I'm no longer ignoring the slow-speed wandering exhibited by the newish front one. Time for a change to another brand, perhaps? Mebbe some Pilot Powers or summat...

Really good to hear Viff! I thought we hadn't heard from you recently and hoped all was well.

Have chucked some Pilot Road 2ct rubber on and am loving them to bits. As confidence inspiring as the original pilot roads I had on a previous bike.
Get them today or the taxman will take a larger bite out of your wallet...

Riding to work today was goodish, but the first few minutes / km on the way home was rough as guts. Dunno what happened there, but it seems the mojo is still a bit transitory...:blink:
No harm done, but made me wake up. :facepalm:
