Looking at getting a kids quad for my son so he can come riding with me, has anyone had any experience with the Hyosung 100cc bikes?
In usual circumstances I'd rather have an exotic disease then a Hyosung but they are quite a large bike which is good, sio Im interested in if the motor has enough pep to keep the bike moving down trails and over hills, and of course....reliability. Obviously I'd maintain the bike but I would expect my boys to thrash the arse off it.
The other consideration is an LT80.....

oh dear...
look, no offence but really? $1k to me is a fair amount of money to waste on crap - why not spend a little more and do it properly?

I'm quite capable of coming up with the "Hyosuck" input myself, But if anyone has any real world info on their quads then thats what I'm after.
Cheers.

Has DB been on recently? He could probably give you some excellent advice.

The Hyoslapper kids quads aren't that flash  the TE50 & TE90 are fickle runners at the best of times and the starter solenoid units fry easily, the suspension & wheel bearings etc aren't up too much abuse and the chain adjuster set-up is shit
A LT80 does easily run circles around them in ever aspect

We were getting them out of the crate with bent axles, buckled rims etc, I think some of them did well to get to the shop in one piece sometimes
The LT80 just keeps on trucking
Even the we Kwaka 80 that was sold as a promotional item with Hilux utes a while back was a lemon  strangled to buggery & curse to get going properly

headbanger I strongly advise you to get an LT80 for a heap or reasons. The main one being that they just keep on keeping on. The only thing I would say is if the battery is getting sad --change it to a new one--you wont regret it

just a thought - are the people commenting on "hyosungs" ever auctally ridden one or even sat on one????
i was a hyosung sceptic as well, but then i bought one of there roadbikes and it was great, they are korean made not chinese, built well strong/ reliable, cant go wrong i think!!! i own two Hyosung kids quads te50 and a te90 and to be honest the only issues i have had is a big kid (me) snapped a hub on 90 and the rims are bend from kids hitting shit
i also own a lt50 2005 and every time a get it out it gives me headaches lol, i cant go past the hyosung, they are big bikes comfy to ride etc for the kids can ride two up as well..... i service them myself
have had my fair share of chinese junk bikes!!!!! bought kids a honda crf50 and a hyosung quad each never been happier

I consider it quite evident that some of the people making comments in this thread have had hands on experience, including the retail and support side of the equation rather then just the more-limited end user experience. I bought the lads an LT80.
