Once again we are going to make like a brazillian and be "outta hair"! Off to Perth 2moro arvo with swmbo for a month long, 11000km(?) tour of all things south from Perth to Brizzy.

Then Darkie must come back to Unzud with us.

I shall not clog up these esteemed pages with my ramblings this time, no, anyone who might be interested can catch the real time progress, with text and pix ( if I can be motivated) on my Spot site-

His carnet is about to run out and so the bike has to come home. It's currently in Perth and they plan to freight it home out of Brisbane.
Fill in the gap.
Last I heard, if the weather plays the game, it may even include 3 days in Tasmania.

Jamie was talking about 3 weeks and 11,000 km.

Bon voyage bro.

Seems to be working fine. The site is a lot more versatile than I first realised and presents quite a good view when you know how to dial it up.
Do you plan to post the website address on here?
I'm sure there will be several who would be interested in your trip.

Doh!!!!

The weather over there seems to be holding up for you guys a bit better than expected. Having said that, it will probably turn out to be an invitation to Murphy.

What's your method for deciding when to push the button on your Spot?
When you remember, or when Jules gives you a prod?

Had a look a your spot site recently and your last spot was only 5 minutes back. So I had a look up the road a bit on the satellite view and there was this black spot.

Thought it might be you but turned out it was just some flyshit on my screen, eh?

Bloody time changes here, SA have got dls so this morning we lost 2.5hrs in 10km!( Sorry, being a smart arse-Eucla(wa) - Border village(sa), I knew the Katie was quick but that was a surprise.
Suffern serious arse ache :shit:

Enjoying the daily reports and the photo selection on the spot site. You're doing well - keep it up mate.
As for the "vanished" reports, well they actually made it to the site and so we have days 7 & 8 twice.
The second try was the better one.
Perhaps you should do them all twice

:innocent:

I couldnty find it this morning when I checked again - is it hidden, am I missing something?

Bin there and tidyed it up! Hey, are you the only person lookn? I don't see any comments and I gave the link to heaps of people!

Mt Ive station now( am 'stealing' someones unsecured wireless, I think?)- great ride in over some challenging tracks! Off to Hahndorf, in the hills, tomorrow.

It's got me a bit puzzled too. A day by day ride report of doing a heap of gentle adventuring in Oz, with pictures even. I really thought that this lot would be on it like wolves.

The spot site does look a bit barren until you bring up the "full screen" option - maybe that's got something to do with it.

Just had a closer look at your spot site, I only looked at the map the first time, but this time I found the bells & whistles. The combo of map, pics & a writeup on the days adventures is really neat I reckon, keep up the good work. I didn't see a way to leave a comment, maybe one has to sign up or something? Will investigate further on next visit.

Cheers

Arh, well I can only see 'my' page so it may not be the same as you guys see-it recognises my computer and always logs me in even if I come in the 'public' way!

I will agree, the page does not look like much till you fiddle around a bit with some of the buttons!

Did u get any PXT from me today( sunday 10-10)?

Bass
10th October 2010, 18:50
Nothing yet mate.
However, the surplus gear that you sent back to me, appeared in the system over here today. It's been sent as unaccompanied baggage and since you can't, then someone over here has to clear it as your agent. To be your agent, they need a letter to that effect from you and a copy of your passport details.

Since no-one over here has those documents, your gear will be in the 90 day cage until you get back here and clear it yourself. If you aren't back within 90 days, it will be dumped.

So there - another incentive to make it home OK.

No, I don't have the slightest clue why you have been able to send shit home before without all this palaver - it may be this ''unaccompanied baggage" crap.
