Its still there, but you can't delete a thread. So if your post is the first/only post in a thread then you can't delete it.

You may as well have posted the question and answer - for the <s>amusement</s> education of others.

Oh. Good idea....
Q: Does the MySky box work OK with non-HD TV machines? Like CRT jobs?
A: Yes.
I thought they would but someone said they wouldn't...

Well...not necessarily.
At present I have Telecom home phone plus Vodafone broadband.
By swapping my home phone to vodafone and selecting a "home phone plus broadband" package of suitable size, I can actually save $10.00 a month over current costs and get the sky whizzbox for FREE...

My sky is cool, but does suffer some problems, esp if you are one for recording things from tv, which I do from time to time.
Like I wanted to take something from my mysky box and record it to a dvd... no would not let me, so I recorded to my HDD... yup that worked, but then you cant record to a dvd from that either cause it is protected.
I dont much like being told what to and what not to do. Back in the day of vhs, you did what you wanted, and that was great. But now things are so tangled up with copywrite it is bugging.

You could just buy a PCI TV tuner card and get Sky TV for free, then it's even better than the whole MySky thing.

Who still watches tv???
OK I admit I watch a lot of it. But it is all downloaded.
I will not submit to the Stations telling me when I can watch a show!!!
Plus they are so far behind it is not funny.

I have the TV on in the background while I'm doing most things inside, if there's something good on the sweet, if not no drama either. But if I really want to watch something, download for the win. Although I will add that I cba downloading a 1.5gb HD 30min show, so I'll just d/l the DVD rip and let my bluray upscale it.

I still watch it. Most of the stuff I wanna watch is now only 2-3 weeks behind. I think the TV companies know people download stuff so to appease the advertisers, have got their A's into G. I can't be bothered downloading something that'll be on in a few weeks. I've got other things to use the data allowance on
Plus, if there's nothing on TV, there's always stuff to do in the garage or around the house
