PRACTISE/QUALIFING
The weather was great as their was bugger all wind if any and the sun was shining brightly! I had just scrubbed in two new tires on friday so i was ready to go. I went out and made sure i had my race line sorted and everything was going good with bike before getting in a few good laps. I qualified in 4th on the front row for the very first time, doing a lap of 1.24.147

RACE ONE
I got an average start off the line as I was knock back in to 5th place but I went straight back around turn two. I got awesome drive on to the straight witch put me right behind Blake Henwood-Sparks. I wanted to get pasted him as fast as I could so I could try catch up to Glenn Sneesby and Matthew Hoogenboezem who were slowly getting away. Lap 2 i got passed Blake in turn 1 but as we came back on to the straight he used the slip stream to his advantage. I was all over him but there was just no way I could get passed. As we came across the line on to lap 3 we were side by side, I saw a way thourgh and went for it but Blake wasn't going to give it up that easy and helled his line. I jamed the brakes on but it was to late, i rain in to the back of him and unfortunately I high sided. Lukey Blake didn't come off. I was also lukey i walked away with no injuries. My fastest lap time out in that race was on lap 2 as 1.23.689

RACE TWO
I didn't compete as my bike was still recovering.

RACE THREE
My bike was ready to go now as got an excellent start, I was in 3rd place off the line, yet again behind Blake. At this time the wind had picked up and it was quite strong. I had the thorght of crashing going threw my head so I took it easy and stayed up right. As laps went by I ended up droping down to six, but I was happy that I got a top ten finnsh as i had a not to good of a day racing. My fastest lap in that race was 1.24.841

I would like to thank all my sonsers Bowers Builders, Nz Pocketbike Imports, Sportz Fotoz, Advanced Digital Design, Whyteline and especially Peter Jones from Christchurch for all the help and support you guys have given me. THANKS!

Great riding and great write up Alex. You and your family are very much respected for your effort in commuting down for the junior racing. It's always brings us a lot of pleasure to have you, Dad and Amanda come down to ride. A big thanks from the south!
