Yes n no....We left Arthurs....chains to be fitted....we were stopped for a chain inspection....Duh...., the lad looked at us and the the bikes...guess you can't fit chains to a bike huh?....and we carried on....just past the temple basin skifield the slush turned to Ice and the bikes would not move up hill any further, then I did a quick 90 degree right slide....my right foot went down amid prayers of "Please don't slide out"...it did not and with a lot of effort I held the bike up and got it up right, then very slowly back down to AP and on to Timaru in rain and sleet at night....brrrrr

OH yes you're not wrong. Stupid me wanted a nice pic of bike in the snow last week...219953

Got my pic but had not thought about getting out of there, so blonde!

Weeeeeeeeeeee, was definately the right word, I slid all over the place, I loved it, kind of as my whole body had to get in on the "Keep the bike upright" game, managed to slide my way out of here quite nicely.

Looking back, I'm an idiot! Glad I didn't drop it!

Oh NO! Damn the weather! I forgot about your tour, we were at kaka point for the rally, had snow there but not as bad as some places. I talked to a couple of west coasters I know who rode over the Haast in the snow on the friday and they said it was pretty ugly too...... Have you still got the tri colour monster? the 1098 looks awesome!
