Specifics for a newbie to NZ

Will be coming to meets in and around chch area as soon as bike arrives in box from UK. (Hopefully the 4th oct).
I am an experienced rider, but what are the specifics to NZ riding (road).

Also looking to get an Enduro bike for river/adventure riding. Have no experience of off road riding. Where to start?

everyone in a car is retarded when you are on a bike, and on country roads watch out for cow pats and grit going through corners.

feel free to go on the wednesday night rides in christchurch. There is also a chance of a sunday ride happening too (currently being talked about).

heading along and following people that have ridden the canterbury roads for years will show you what to do.

is the cbr900 turning up in a box? :scooter:

and what is it like living in rolleston after a fault line has been found there!! :shutup:
