Thanks to your guys help I have now found all my gear except for boots, I usually wear a UK 12/13 shoe but have pretty wide feet. I tried some size 48 ones from 1Tonne but they were too small, can anyone recommend anywhere in NZ I can get some from, all the online places I have checked only go to 48 :(

There is a K-Biker called "Katman", he helped me out a couple of years ago with size 50 boots, they are still goign strong today. Try and get in touch with him.

Alpine Stars go to 50 in the SMX5 and so do Sidi in the Vertigo Goretex Mega.
I'm taking a size 14us in most of the shoes I try on/ wear but I wear a pair of the above Sidi's in a size 48 (12.5-13us) and there quite roomy too.

I'd guess judging by the bike in the OP's signature he's actually after offroad boots, but Alpinestars and Sidi both have large sizes (up to 49 or 50) and a good range of boots to choose from depending on fit and your budget. Otherwise if the OP is after road boots, the same applies... :D

any luck finding boots mate? im in the same boat, just got a mean deal with northern accessories on everything but the boots and now i've been to everyone i can find and can't get anything. went to cycletreads in the weekend and they had some 49's (can't remember the brand but it started with a g and sounded like garmin) they weren't wide enough though and don't want to be driving around the country with crushed up feet like a geisha girl.
I'm looking at importing either alpinestars s mx 5 or sidi mega gore tex from the states now because I can't find anything in the home land

yes I had that problem as well, ended up with prexport road boots because they were on the shelf at the time and fitted, that was 13 years ago and they are still in use today and are very waterproof.

As said before... A/Stars boots have large sizes & a wider vamp across the top of the foot. Bit more room.
AXO Lancers have adjustable closure mechanisms. For calf & toe.
Though make sure the zips work easily. I did have some warranty returns on faulty zips. But most customers loved them. Very cumfy to ride & walk in by feedback.

If anyone wants some boots priced from OZ let me know. Happy to help.
It's nice to buy local, but sometimes you can't do so.

yea oz sounds heaps easier than importing from the states. www.ridersdiscount.com seems handy with their international freight options.
Can you also get a price on size 50 a/stars s mx 5 boots too mate

Cycletreads are great arent they !!
Order gear in specially for you so you can check for fit and finish
So you can order the correct size from Germany.
They are a bit slack though, you having to wait and all
Very inconvenient.
Did you let them know they are holding your purchase up?
Awesome

Im happy to wait, having boots now would pretty useless as i don't have a bike.
pity they couldn't get the right style in though would have preferred to shop local but there just wasn't any good options.
