Umm..like realy??? for the price of nice R6 (not counting the hyobag even tho that cant be much) you will have almost 70hp (anything more and it wil probably "grenade" itself...sooner that is)...but yeah wow awesome stuff...

I think the whole point of wanting to do things like this, has nothing to do with practicality, bang for buck, or finances, its about doing something out there, something new, and/or something different.
I personally think its pretty dumb to spend the cost of an R6, on a 250, just to give it the power of an old 400...
But I also think its fucking cool that people do it anyway. i love seeing the time, effort and resources people put into their rides, and seeing the results.

Pretty sure an IL4 250 would still kick its ass. Bet the speedo is way out as well.

Actually, that is one of the coolest things I have seen all year from a road bike.... Good for them, it sounded great and went well (I would drop a few teeth from the rear sprocket though..... It's revving pretty hard at an indicated 180).... I will never understand why people keep bagging Hyosungs, these bikes look great, they may lack horsepower, nut they make up for it looks I recon.

People bitch about quality issues but for the money you pay for these machines I believe you get a lot of bike for your buck, they just need a bit more maintenance than some others. I agree they are a very nice looking 250.

I'm all for modifying, but that doesn't make sense to me. Spending that much money to get that little performance gain doesn't add up. But each to their own.

If the 250's are fuel injected, I could turbo it and keep it reliable for about $500 plus the cost of a turbo.

You whack a turbo on $7000 250 and it only does 180kmh... wtf?
This is way cooler.
100%+ increase in HP from 24 to 56hp .

You don't need a turbo on a WR to wheelie away from lights.

I guess it's a bit like putting a turbo onto a Civic - why do that when you could just buy a Turbo Falcon/GTR/Evo/WRX?
Or a turbo onto a Hayabusa when you've already got a Hayabusa?
Oh that's right - cause you can!
I'd be pretty happy if I had a sleeper 250 on my L plate.

Yeah yeah ... naaa .... Nice learners bike - and yeah, they have looks ... but an R6 is still a better bet ... the 250s are pretty light for 180 klicks ...

Huh? My original 1990 BMW R100GS Paris Dakar had a couple more horses than that ... if you want on off-roader with grunt ... I sold it last year for seven and a half ... much better bang for the bucks ..

first of all on the race track my almsot stock hyosung gt250r can pass CBR250R's on the straights {not the RR but the R}...and they are inline 4.....
Also no the speedo's are fairly accuate on them ive found.
BUT how do we know this bike is turbo? in the video it doesnt look like it revv's or gets upto speed any faster than a stock one....

i guess at the end of the day people are different
people like to mod, others like to buy a bigger bike
people like to do Kempo Bushio Karate others like to do UFC/MMA
people like to go to the gym other people like to get fat
I guess the point is....... do what you want to do, if you want to spend $11k go for it on a bigger bike, or if you like to mod .... mod it, personally i like to mod, cause its different i think i get a better feeling when i mod something than running out buying a bigger bike, i mean we just sold out house, and have a bit of spending money for each of us, so getting a bigger bike its not a problem, but i choose not too, cause i get a bigger kick out from modding plus i really don't need 600c, they do look Sexc 250cc its perfect for me, its fast enough they are looking more better and performance wise as well, i am planning to buy another bike, but its only going to be the EFI 250cc Hyosung 2010, i don't really care for anything bigger ........
here is my little modded baby just need to paint the tank

Sorry but I have to call bull on you for that one. Your hyobag will not get anywhere near a CBR250 on the straights with a decent rider... the R and RR version have basically exactly the same MC14 engine.

I know this thread is old, but I just had to comment.
It's not turbo'd. After 5 seconds of Googling I found out that "Turbo Kit" is just a brand name and it's the exhaust kit the vids are showing off:
