Has anybody tried putting a scooter into a station wagon? I have a mazda 6 station wagon and was wondering if I would be able to fit a scooter into it. I was hoping to save on transporting if I were to buy a scooter a little bit out of Dunedin.
Any help would be great. Thanks in advance!

Drain the fuel and knock the front end off.
I once transported a complete GSX1100 (pulled down of course) in my Mini. A couple of spanners and you can get most bikes in a station wagon.

Or, drive the Mazda down there, then ride the scooter home by drafting the wagon. If you drive with the hatch up it creates a huge back-flow - you should be able to get 80km/h out of the scooter.
Or get a steel rsj and bolt it to the towbar.
Or put the scooter on the roof and just strop in on like a MTB.

Or buy a scooter closer to home.

After some consideration I think you guys are probably right. But if I do end up trying it for some reason I'll be sure to put up some photos. If only scooter could go on the motorway.
Someone even suggested tying half of it to the car and leaving one wheel on the road.

I saw a scooter go into a car once...
He (the scooterist) was going down Simonds St by Auckland uni in the buslane and, since he wasn't a bus, a car thought it would be ok to turn into a street in front of him. Fortunately he had some decent gear and walked away from it without much red stuff getting out.

We could fit 5 niffty fifty's into the back of a Volvo, two longways with the front wheels sticking out of the boot, then three width ways with bars opposite ends on top of each other...while doing 50kph up high street over judders bars, on our way to do some car park hooning. We were hooning around on the top levels where no body parks & were playing scooter Tiggy, lance lowe was chasing me & at the last sec I changed direction to go thru this entrance to another car park level, Lance then proceeded to carry on the way to (exit of other entrance), mean while all the other scooter hooners saw me come zooming in, so they all took off in a hurry not knowing that Lance was about to cut then off!. Anyway there was this massive almighty crash/crunch & I saw Alex & Lance have a scooter head on where they both did synchronized stoppies & bang helmets & hit knuckles & bent there forks in the proccess. They were both lying on the ground going Arhhh Fark Arhhhh, then lance managed to murmur.....Alex yr it lol :scooter:
fuckin classic.
We originally bought 9 Niffty Fifty's in pieces (ex for hire jobby's) & only managed to get six of them going but only 5 ever ran at the same time ha ha.
This was all before the mighty Street magics cane along! :scooter:
