It looked like it was gonna be a great day....I was out at o730 and made it around the back of Lake Karapiro....It was friggin foggy, really bad, hands were cold and hurtin'...
I came home and waited for the fog to clear...Took a detour to the Thompsons track and decided that was a bad idea.....Skating all over the show, made it back and washed the bike at the garage, best $2.00 spent in a long time..:) Lunch, coffee and a change of trousers...:)
At 1200 I headed out, this time around Waihi, Tauranga and towards Whakatane.
Tons of bikes out and yep, even a few ADV riders by the looks of it.
I turned off the highway and followed the Old Coach Rd to Lake Rotoehu and Rotoiti..
Wicked road, nice and clear and not a sausage to be see anywhere...
A Stunning day and enjoyable to be out there finally after all this ratshit weather!
Coming home across the Mamaku ranges this 990A barrels up alongside me and I try to hang in there but this guy is on a mission! You were obviously on a promise there... Passin' on the yellow line.....:shit: Risky shit on that road...Anyhoo...
Got home in one piece and gave the bike a bit of a clean, it can wait until tomorrow...:woohoo:

Made the mistake of putting the thin gloves on....I stopped in Matamata and couldn't undo my helmet nor get my Eftpos card outta me pocket...
Damn, where is a Wench when you need one to put her hand in my pocket and dig out my valuables...:)

She was very....VERY deep! I only got around the first two bends...
I did see two quads there, idiots, short sleeves and a three year old on the front of the quad....:gob:I turned around but had to stick to the tram track as I couldn't steer at all....
Thanks to the service station and the waterblaster, cleaner.....saved me setting up mine at home..:)
