My contribution for Saturday

Didn't drag the camera out of the van Sunday as I got a bit busy racing and watching what may have possibly been the best bucket racing from a spectators perspective that I have ever seen.

And busy fixin' my bike again. Thanks again for your never ending source of parts and spares. And for stopping to help get me going when you should have been watching the wife doing her thing.

I figure the best way to sell my excess spares off at eye gouging prices is to lend them to you, chances of them coming back in one piece seems pretty slim :nya:

That would have worked until we discovered that the poor ol' FXR was hiding some severe internal injuries. Now you will have to go on TradeMe to flog your spare levers, foot pegs, clutch lever brackets. You don't have one of these in your kit do you??? It's a gear lever selector thingey that has snapped off a pin on the gear selector drum on the clutch side.

Watching the wife doing her thing would be like watching paint dry (except paint drying would be faster).
He enjoys mucking about with bikes as well as riding, and as it's all about having fun, can't knock him for it.

And the bod. Left wrist dosen't work, right shin swollen and right inner thigh stabbed by footpeg, went right throught the leathers. Quiet day at home today.

and the lectures " I told you not to let go of the bars and close your eyes just because the back end is a little out of shape and the front end has tucked under" or "you only got flicked off the bike when it highsided because you were not hanging on tight enough".

At this point I thought I could still save it. Left hand still on the bar, left leg sort of on the seat and the front wheel pointing in the right direction, but the leathers were smoking so probably not going to happen. Good pics Simon. Right place at the right time.

There's a series of photos of the old Glen Williams riding a GPz550 off a corner at Manfeild, arse more or less on the ground bit like this. He held on to it till it stopped. Another rider that never gave up.
