One may have been to Featherston and back tonight astride a perky, naked Italian. I have been moved in many ways.

Thanks are due to:

AF1 Racing in New Braunfels Texas. These guys rock. The best parts service I've ever experienced. As well as being Aprilia's biggest distributor in the USA, one wishes they were also Aprilia's biggest distributor in New Zealand.

TSS Red Baron's workshop. Patient and careful work and, best of all, great client feedback.

Kiwibike Insurance. The real test of an insurance agent is how they behave when you make a claim. Dave is outstanding in that regard.

Dave O for the use of his V-Strom thou for "medicinal" purposes. Just brilliant.

Mrs H for putting up with a bike-deprived husband. She is a Saint.

Now one needs to get one's arse nice and hard in readiness for a Grand Challenge on 16-17 October.

And yes, I'm stoked!

Yes, saw it lurking there this morning looking all clean and shiny with no apparent bits missing.

Except the key.

I like to think it was missing me. I'm funny like that.

I have a new one with a small fairing in the shed.

Gave it a workout following the Ed on a new MV Brutale 990 this morning too.

Nice bike. Bring on the Dorso 1200!

Yeeep - a very competent and pleasant to operate vehicle.
Good comfort, nice looking, chucks around well.
