Many on dial-up are finding pages take too long to load. So can we keep the sig images down to a decent size. Max height should be about 80 pixals. Also animated gifs shpuld be under about 40k.

Remember also , in User CP -> Options, you can turn off the display of signatures (and other graphicy things), if you have a slow connection (or just don't want to see them)

while we're on the subject, some of the sigs run into one looooooong word, causng the page to become really wide - like this one.

Good advice on a whole bunch of fronts. The old KISS technique can't be beat when it comes to communicating effectively.

Remember, just because you can doesn't mean that you should...

A philosophy I've yet to master when it comes to stupid shit on a motorcycle.

When Wkid first started putting large signatures up I turned them off and never see any now so don't worry about them cluttering my pages.

How do you put pics in your sig? I've tried "insert image" and cut and pasted it but it just comes up as a word and not a pic. Any clues?

Thanks for that SM:Punk: People with big Sig Pic's have been taking-up too much of a page and slowing the loading time down. It will be a long time before I can get affordable broadband out here, so I would appreciate it if you guys and girls used a link or thumb-nail when posting big pic's/gif's/move clips (etc.) if it is not that important.

I've got cable. It's still anoying as shit scrolling through picing posts out of a page which has a larger sig to post ratio.

I live out in the Stix (actually Dad's Nursey is call "Stix Poplar"). There is no cable. Broadband is wireless and is $100/month at the cheapest. I can only just use the celephone. But I'd rather live here:niceone: then in any fu*ken City:puke: :whocares:

Here we are smiling like we are king of the world when we have 1/2 to 1 Mbps. Rest of the world has 10+Mbps...

But this rant has probably been done. So I'll be brief. Damn you telescum... :oi-grr:

Yip. Spent my entire motorcycle savings fund on a stupid cage last night.

Had to be done, family, responsibility and all that. But still gutting me that I'm back to square one.

Sweden has a normal bandwidth of something like 20-42mbit.. probabaly some large amounts of isdn B channels going into each house ;D

And waylander that 54mbit speed is the connection between your computer and the access point that then connects to the internet at telescum speeds, 256kbps (0.2mbit) and up to 8mbit since they scrapped the 128kbps service. Suppose you know that anyway right ;)

I don't have a clue mate. All I know is that it is much faster than what I had in the states. Had DSL there aswell.
