Hey guys,
I'm practicing for the race on the 17th on Friday the 8th at Hampton Downs.
Problem is my o2 sensor has burned out and I need a replacement like tomorrow (this is the small thing that plugs into the exhaust/cat converter and looks like a spark plug with a wire connected to it). None of the sources I have tried can get one for me that quick.
I know the 750 ones work and are a breeze to install and remove.
Will someone be generous to lend me one of theirs for a day?
I'm driving up tomorrow from New Plymouth bike in tow so can stop by most places to pick it up along the way to Auckland.
Appreciate it muchly.

Yes it's just the o2 sensor... I shall ask the man himself or speak with Darren from HDRD's who is always helpful to try and arrange one. Thanks Sloan. C u there.

Hi
I guess the FI light has come up???? I also guess the bike runs perfect at the moment??? If so, ride it with the sensor as it is for the moment as the sensor will only change fueling after a certain period of riding at constant throttle which I hope you are not doing on the track :scooter:. If I'm wrong about any of the above I apologise but it will be a 1st.

Not that I should really help, but it's probably just a standard 18mm thread sensor, the same as every other jap car has. Go to repco or even a wrecker. Just ask for a single wire oxy sensor.

Not that you have any reason to not mate, but thank you. I'll check it out.

Nah Yamahas are gay. Suzukis are the way ahead

Congrats Choppa! Looking forward to seeing pics of the new arrival!
PS: The old sensor - once re insulated with 'sticky-tape' worked just fine and the F1 light did not come back on. I shall insulate properly now that I have time, but I did hear from a few others that it was not wise - although possible to run the bike without the 02 sensor.
