I know not all of you on here hate them, but to the rest, what gives?

I do not own a honda, but purchasing one would not bother me because it IS a Honda.

I've owned mainly Suzuki's, 4 Honda's and 1 Yamaha. Got nothing against any of the Jap bike companies. Each have great bikes. If anything, the Honda build quality is better than the others.

I had a girlfriend once that was out of control, loose and fun....never knew what she was going to be like the next day so had me on edge constantly. Better Riders and more investments. Engine wise there is no comparison. Honda is the most reliable and has the most horse power output.

But when it comes to super bikes and motogp it's all about techniques and the whole team behind the scene. For me the limit is 110 on road and 280-330 on track ( if I can manage that)

There are all awesome, I love to own a Yamaha as well as my Honda, I love to own a Ducati as well as My Honda, but I spend my money which is limited on the best, that's all. I will spend it on a engine that has proven to be the most solid and reliable engine.

End of the day, there is no bad bike or good bike, the bike that gives rider the ultimate joy is the best bike for its rider.

The last four bikes, I test-rode lots of other makes'n'models, and they all felt 'not quite right', as I've got used to the fact Hondas generally have good ergos and are easy to ride, so I've ended up with another Honda. My hondas have been very reliable, and I've only had two breakdowns in 36 years, and both times it was a faulty R/R - made by Shindengen, not Honda.
I'd really like something with more character (like the XBR500RS Mutant I once owned), but I'm currently stuck with my VFR; it's too good for me to want to let it go.

I also have to put my hand up to having owned several hondas (CB 100,VT250, VFR 400 and 750, VF400F, XL250, CR 250) and with the exception of the last one they are the most reliable thing known to man. I even still have my VTZ250 as a commuter. Guess that means I bat for both teams.

My opinion on why Honda sucks;

- Dont respect there riders, they believe its there machine that wins, not the rider, hence Rossi leaving
- They lie, told Rossi he would recieve his NSR500 after he won the 2000 title but never gave it to him
- Shafted NZ racers, a few years ago they decided to withdraw from NZ road racing 2 weeks before the national champs started leaving all of there riders without a bike and no time to arrange another, these riders had paid for there entries, tyres and spares but had no bikes.
- Worst of all they killed the two-stroke, Mr Hondas wife told him that his first bike, a two stroke, was smelly and noisy so Mr Honda pledged to build four strokes only and then campaigned against the two strokes for the rest of his days finally getting them banned.

Plus Hondas generally have no character, they seam to engineer this out of there bikes.

Well there you go. Kenny Roberts Jr won the 2000 title for Suzuki so perhaps he got his bike from Suzuki and Rossi had to go without that year.

Sorry 2001 Rossi won the 500cc title and Honda didnt cough up despite telling him they would on several occasions.

I didnt say Hondas bikes suck, I have had plenty of them and have won three national road racing titles in NZ on Hondas, I said Honda sucks, as a company.

As for a vt250 spada being full of character, takes all sorts I guess.

name me any other brand that can be as abused as that!

Last Honda I owned was the good old XR 350 1987 model
Before that was an XR 200

Dad had a CBX550F Integra that I rode heaps but he owned it (phew)
